What does it mean that humans are an image of God?
Every human is created as an image of God. In the past, places that were subject to a king had a statue, an image of the king, to show that they were subject to him.
This means that as a human, you should not serve the king but humans, since God stands above the king, and every human stands in for God.
And it also means that you should rule yourself, since every human is like God.
What is God?
God is truth, logic, and the good.
What is logic?
Logic was always there. It always exists, independent of time and space.
Only what is logical can exist. This is the most fundamental rule of existence. Since there can be nothing above God, God must be logic itself.
What is the good?
The good is everything that benefits humans. It can be derived logically from nature.
Nature is everything that has come into being through purely logical processes.
How can one become like God?
Jesus showed it. He is not just like God, he is God. Jesus is a human who became free from sin.
Every human already has God within them, but also sin. Without sin, every human would be like God.
This is only possible by following the teachings of Jesus. Through him, anyone can be freed from sin.
What is sin?
Sin is the opposite of the good.
Sin is everything that harms humans. Being sinful is not bad. Every human sins. But the goal should be to live without sin — only then can one be like God.
What is the core of Jesus' teaching?
Do everything out of your own curiosity. Submit to no one except God, follow only logic and the good. What is good, you can understand yourself with your sense of logic, that is, of God.
Avoid money wherever possible. Try to settle everything on a personal basis.
