The Wild Horse
CREDITS

Credits

Where the words, pictures and fonts of this site come from.

Words

The screenplay (WildHorse.docx) and the points-of-interest texts (WildHorsePOIs.docx) are the designer’s own work, shown unchanged in the full-text sections of the chapter pages and of the places page. The summaries, character notes, segment labels and open questions around them are the editor’s reading of those texts.

Pictures

All pictures are the designer’s own material for this project, downsized for the web. The originals live in the project’s local refs/ folder (not part of the repository); tools/docx-site-art.sh produces the copies in docs/story/img/. Nothing was generated for this site.

ralph-car, ralph-portrait: the designer’s picture of Ralph Durden (Ralph Durden.png), whole and cropped.
stacy-portrait: crop of the designer’s Stacy sheet (Stacy.png).
horse-power-ref: crop of the designer’s robot reference sheet (robot-reference-htm95.png).
cosmic-rider: the designer’s picture Minor Character from one map.png.
robot-pose-1, robot-pose-2: the designer’s pictures CarMecha1.png and CarMecha2.png.
behemoth: from the inspiration folder, inspirations/Behemoth.png.
arizona-map: the designer’s sketch map of the Arizona hub (Arizonamap.png).
game-robot, game-transform, game-drive: headless screenshots of the game prototype made with wild-horse --shot.

Fonts

Both fonts are served from this site (fonts/); nothing is loaded from elsewhere. Both are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

The font files are the Latin subsets as published by Fontsource. Where a font fails to load, the page falls back to Impact or Arial Narrow and to the system sans-serif.

3D viewer

The interactive 3D characters use three.js (MIT License, license text) and the splat engine of Viggle / WarpEngine (MIT License, license text), both copied unchanged into vendor/ from the vendored files of the fighter-share project. The character data (models/*.vsplat) comes from the game’s assets/characters/.

Design

The page look (comic panels, thick ink borders, flat colors, hard offset shadows on buttons) takes its principles from the comic-style web page kingstanky.com, redrawn here in our own colors and shapes; no art, text or code was copied.
